houseOffer housing related advice and support to people regardless of the current tenure status, thus addressing the needs of currently excluded individuals.

 

houseProvide preventative support and intervention to enable service users to sustain their home/independence and prevent homelessness.

 

houseContribute to the Government’s agenda in raising skills and addressing worklessness by motivating people to enable them to live successfully in the wider community including, practical support in accessing employment, training, education and meaningful occupation including volunteer opportunities.

 

houseInformation on local colleges, connexions, job centre plus, apprenticeships, learning centres and any other identified service.

 

houseInformation about local services such as shops, leisure centres, bus stops, train station, supermarkets to encourage and support social inclusion.

 

housePromote community safety awareness in line with anti-social behaviour strategies and targeting migrant groups/new drivers on issues such as, smoking laws, driving, absence of driving documentation and non-use of seat belts.


houseAssist with money management, providing advice and practical assistance with claiming benefits, filling out forms, bank account opening, housing advice, debt counselling, payment of household bills and other expenses.

 

houseTranslation services where language is a barrier and support in enrolling for English classes in local colleges as a long term solution. 1:1 intensive basic courses where confidence in attending college is lacking.

 

houseProvide transport from placing council to lodgings or appointments as and when the clients’ presence is required.

 

houseSupport around domestic skills such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping.

 

 

houseTo work in partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies i.e. by contributing to the Department of Health’s Strategic Objectives of: Better health and well-being, Better care and Better value for all.
